We hired Rhino to do our front and backyard. My husband and I are really happy with how it turned out. The yard looks great now and the kids love having a place to play and hang out.

Denis did a great job and was very conscientious about the details. The weather was horrible, but he came out regardless and braved it like a trooper. Pricing was more than fair and I will definitely be using them again.

Our Process

What to expect with your paver install

  1. 1

    Free On-Site Estimate

We walk your property, measure the area, talk through the layout, and help you pick the paver style and color.

  2. 2

    Layout & Design

We finalize the shape, pattern, and grade, then mark it out so you can picture the finished space before we dig.

  3. 3

    Excavation & Grading

We dig out the area and set the right slope so water drains away from your home, not toward it.

  4. 4

    Base & Compaction

We build and compact a crushed rock base in layers. This is the step that keeps pavers from sinking, so we never rush it.

  5. 5

    Bedding & Laying Pavers

We screed a bedding layer, set the pavers in your chosen pattern, and make clean cuts along every edge and curve.

  6. 6

    Edging, Joint Sand & Finish

We lock the edges, sweep in polymeric joint sand, do a final compaction, and clean up the site before we leave.

FAQ

Common questions about paver installation

How long do pavers last?

A properly installed paver patio or driveway can last decades. Because it is made of individual units, a single paver can be lifted and reset if it ever settles, instead of replacing a whole slab.

Are pavers better than poured concrete?

Pavers flex with the ground instead of cracking, they are easy to repair, and they come in far more colors and patterns. Concrete is cheaper up front but tends to crack over time and is hard to fix cleanly.

Why do some paver jobs sink or shift?

Almost always because of a weak base. We build a deep, compacted crushed rock base in layers, which is what keeps the surface flat and level for the long term.

Will weeds or ants come up between the pavers?

We finish with polymeric joint sand that hardens in the joints to lock the pavers together and resist weeds, ants, and washout.

How long does a project take?

Most patios and walkways take a few days to about a week depending on size, access, and weather. We give you a clear timeline with your quote.

Do you handle drainage on slopes and side yards?

Yes. We grade for proper runoff and can add river-rock paths and stepping stones to manage water and foot traffic in tight side yards.
